The Borametz is a mythical zoophyte from northeast Asia depicted in several texts from antiquity to the 16th century. The plant was described as a mix of plant and animal, and it grew lambs instead of flowers. The stem worked as an umbilical cord, and if the stem was cut, the lamb died. There were numerous reports and stories of this hybrid creature during these centuries.
